Skills Transfer Methodology

The combined experience of the companies’ team makes it highly efficient in transferring skills to new employees, clients and students. Over the years it has adapted and refined its skills transfer methodology which has been a success.

The Skills transfer methodology adapted by Nkhophele is thus as follows:

 

  • A skills gap analysis is conducted to determine the nature and level of skills that need to be transferred to the representative. Then a relevant professional who fully understands the skills required will then be assigned for the skills transfer.
  • The assigned professional will then prepare various handouts materials and conduct briefing sessions for the skills transfer. This gives the representative a comfortable learning environment where he/she can practice and improve without being inhibited by fear of making mistakes. The briefing sessions explains what is being trained, why it is important, and how it will be trained.
  • For the purpose of the representative to get a visual perspective of the skills, the professional will demonstrate the skills at the level the representative will be able to apply it correctly.
  • The representative will be granted the opportunity to practice the skills until they are successful in applying them. This will be achieved by allowing the representative work to alongside the professional on active projects. Positive and constructive feedback will be provided each time the representative practices.
  • The representatives will be given an opportunity to work on their own as a test to demonstrate the skills. They will then be applauded were they have done well and be corrected were they have made mistakes. This will ensure that they gain confidence to perform the skills on their own.

  • Continues monitoring and encouragement will be provided to the representative with feedback to enable them to become exceptional on the skills transferred.
